Try looking on http://www.internetcamerasdirect.co.uk they are very cheap or even http://www.pixmania.co.uk.

ive not had any problems with purple fringing and its been used in some bright conditions. The red eye seems to wrk very well there have been a few times where ive used photoshop to edit it but only in very dark situations.

Having the 7 megapixels is great it means you can select a setting to what you want for that given moment. so if you want a nice image using the full capabilities of the camera i set it on 7 megapixels otherwise i generally shoot in either 3 or 5.

i have been working on a new gallery for the photos and also for you all to post your own pics - it will be live very soon :)

Hi Lee,
I looked at the P200 recently in Staples (I'm in Toronto) though its more money than I want to pay. But would like to ask, have you had any problem at all with purple fringing when in certain light situations such as bright sunlight through leaves for example, or can be in other situations.
How is it for red eye problems with flash? I don't really need a 7 mp camera but I prefer a 2" or even 2.5" LCD, but must also have a viewfinder that is clear (at least to my eyes). When are you going to post a URL for your photos. I would very much like to see some indoor flash photos of people if possible (for red eye), and outside in bright sunny day against dark parts like leaves for example (for purple fringing). I mention purple fringing because I tried out an HP camera and it had bad purple fringing so don't want to run into the same situation again. Thanks.

The two cameras are both very good. The main differences I feel are down to the software. The Sony just works much better it's more user friendly and it has high-resolution of 7.2 megapixels. The Canon A95 seems to be slower with focusing and is generally awkward to use compared to the Sony P200. However it is really a choice between the extra pixels and the software. Many don’t use the full 7 megapixels so the A95 might be better or try looking at the W1 or the W5.

To help you I will post up some photos i have taken with the P200 so you can see the quality. I think you will be impressed. If there are any particular shots you would like me to take eg close ups , then let me know and i will post some pics for you.

What shutter speed do you like to use?

check back soon for pics :)

Hi,

nice mini review. I have sony p5 alongwith some old nikon and kodak. due to good quality of p5, i was looking forward to p150 when i bought last month...

but i was put off by two things.. noise is too high (alongwith handshake problem with camera selecting low speed shutter) and high amount of image compression (rough out) and subsequent loss of details..

i would love to know whether these have followed in p200 or not..?

can u guide me in deciding whether i should buy it or not ?

regards
